A clear flame retardant impregnation treatment for wood and wood products is available.
Flametect C-WD is a clear, colorless and odorless impregnation treatment. It does not discolour. Suitable for hard or soft wood & other wood-derived materials. It leaves no visible shine and dries to a natural finish.
The only product of its kind that has been tested in the UK by Element (formerly Exova) Warrington Fire to BS475 Class 0 and 1 BS476 Class 0 and 1 Certified and Euroclass B EN13501-1 2007 + A1. Class B. Tested in the United States ASTM74 / UL723 / NFPA255

Flametect C-WD. Contains environmentally friendly components that help the active flame retardant components to penetrate deep into the wood.
Used on bare or absorbent wood, this treatment will penetrate stains and tanned finishes. Painted or varnished woods are not suitable for this product as Flametect C-WD coating.
Our products are designed for easy self-application or we can employ professional spray teams to assist on larger projects.
Unlike our competitors, products we have full test reports to BS476 Class 0, Class 1 & Euroclass B. BS476 Class 0 is not interchangeable with the Euro Classifications.
Flametect CWD+. the insoluble formulation "locks in" the flame retardant components together with couplers that protect the flame retardant from harsh environments leaving a weather resistant colourless impregnation once applied & dry.

Application instructions (wood and wood based products)
- Flametect C-WD can be applied to wood by immersion, with a spray, brush or roller
- Apply 250ml per m²
- It is important that the desired volume is applied to the wood
- Make sure the wood is dry before it is applied, the moisture content must be less than 20%
- The desired absorption capacity for most types of wood and MDF is 4 m² per liter
- If multiple applications are required, wait approximately 1 hour between treatments
- Protect externally against weather influences and let it dry for 24-48 hours
- Do not store below 10˚C
- Use within 90 days of purchase
